Battle Systems

Battle field is divided up into several sections by a "Grid" and all attacks and movement are conducted through these grids. The field is separated by front and back. Those in the back of the field are the enemies. Battles progress through units called "Turns" and all allies and enemies can move and act once during a single turn.

Tip: You can FAST FORWARD the battle by pressing the "Y" button !!

Battle Screen

Elements
There are elements that have advantages and disadvantages against certain enemies. If you attack an enemy with its opposite element, you'll do more damage. The elements and their pairs, are "Earth and Wind", "Water and Fire", and "Light and Dark".

HP
The gauge displayed right beneath your name respresents your HP. If it is reduced to 0 you'll become unconscious. Unconscious characters MUST BE revived in 3 turns or they'll be removed from the battle. Of course, even if they leave the battle its not like they'll be gone forever.

EP
Next to HP is the EP Gauge. EP is spent when using "Skills". If you dont have enough EP, you'll be unable to use Skills. HP and EP will be recovered to their maximum automatically after the battle ends, so there's no need to worry about conversing either of them more than necesarry

Link Gauge
Below the HP and EP gauge is a LINK Gauge. Link Gauge is necessary for using "Link Attacks"

Ex Gauge.
The gauge at the top of characters information is the "EX Gauge". Once this gauge has been completely filled up, you'll be able to use "EX" which has far more greater effects than normal skills.
